Dissemination Meeting on Current Situation and Needs Analysis was held on 2 March 2017 at Gazi Education Faculty Conference Hall

A dissemination meeting was held in Gazi Education Faculty on 2 March 2017 to share the findings of the current situation and needs analysis study carried out in the scope of the project. A large number of participants from the public, private sector and academia participated in the meeting as well as the partner institutions of the project.

The opening speeches were made by Asuman Erdem, Project Coordinator, and Ülay Karakoç, ZİÇEV President. Asuman Erdem gave general information about the project and talked about the current situation and needs analysis study. She paid attention to how field research results would overlap with the training program being developed for non-field professionals working in the field of special education. Ülay Karakoç stated that ZİÇEV is an important non-governmental organization serving for 35 years with 14 branches all around Turkey and said that the project will help to close a significant gap in the field of special education and thanked the whole team for their efforts.p>

At the next stage of the meeting, Uğur Ersoy, ZİÇEV Strategist made a presentation about the findings of the field research. During his presentation, Ass. Professor Necdet from Gazi University Department of Special Education accompanied him. Necdet Karasu then conveyed detailed information about the training program and talked about how the results of the field research were taken into account in the design of the training program. After the highly efficient meeting, questions came from meeting participants were answered by the project team. Then, Ülay Karakoç concluded the meeting with her closing speech.
